m-audio x-session pro

Here’s the .tsi file for the M-Audio X-Session Pro for Traktor Pro that I used on my latest mix: “The Consequences.” The photo shows how I set up the top knobs and the rest is pretty standard, with soft-takeovers on the faders and effect knob. The file is not backwards compatible for earlier versions of Traktor.

I designed a new t-shirt featuring a collage of a bunch of stuff I’m into. Check it out:
Quantazelle T-Shirt 2010 (Men + Women’s).

Check out some new jewelry pieces I’ve designed for Zelle.

Zelle (zellestyle.com), the elegantly minimal tech jewelry brand that has elevated electronic components into wearable works of art has expanded its vision to celebrate the inherent beauty of technology in its haute couture take on the art form with their 1337 collection. As the original line is restrained, keeping the focus on the components and their relationship to each other and avoiding the use of traditional precious metals to convey value and refinement, 1337 pieces highlight the elegance of the components and the design itself–remaining the purist’s first choice.

Current 1337 designs are one of a kind, truly works of art, complete with a Certificate of Authenticity resembling the Microsoft’s Windows 95 Certificate of Authenticity.

The Dance Pad Purse

The Dance Pad Purse

My original dance pad broke, so I decided to cut it up to see what was inside. The top layer was actually pretty, so I thought it would make a cool purse. Literally. Hah!

Check out the photos documenting how I made it.

Here is a goofy character sketch by my friend Kenny that I recorded and edited. Two interesting characters meet at a techno afterhours, Antonio Caldwell (Boatman) and Curtis Filmore (Beatman). Antonio is always on the hustle trying to get people to rent “his” boat that’s docked in Chicago. Curtis is a DJ from Detroit who splits his time between Chicago and the D, depending on where the cool techno party is at. He is also a huge Richie Hawtin fanboy.

So after posting my article on Nudge on Facebook, I ended up creating a little “remix war” with two of my friends, Praveen Sharma & Chris Todd (Phylum Sinter).

So here’s my first attempt: Phylum Sinter: “One for You”

…that I remixed: Phylum Sinter: “One for You (Quantazelle Remix)”

Praveen then did his own original track: Praveen: “Here’s Mine”

…that Phylum Sinter remixed: Praveen: “Here’s Mine (Phylum Sinter Remix)”

That I remixed: Praveen: “Here’s Mine (Quantazelle’s Remix of Phylum Sinter’s Remix)”

…which Praveen remixed himself for the crazily long title” Praveen: “Here’s Mine (Praveen’s Remix of Quantazelle’s Remix of Phylum Sinter’s Remix)”

Here is a funny mix I did that’s released on “Pirate Party Submissions” on subVariant.

Liz Revision: “OK What the FUCK, Liz?”

[Pirate Party] was an invitation for local artists to hand in the work they wanted to share, for free, on the subVariant site, and be promoted and featured in the local press, music blogs, social networks and the like. Sort of like The Pirate Bay, but totally legal since everyone who handed in music has the right to distibute the works (yes, there is a mighty huge .torrent link at the bottom too…please seed!) (And please note the Creative Commons distribution below it…we may all distribute at will but if you want to commercially use or modify any of these works you gotta contact the artist in question).

Secondly, it’s completely non-curated. Unlike a traditional record label that screens for quality, taste, appropriateness and style, we did nothing of the sort. We’re just helping everyone “pirate” interesting electronic music + art within a local community and also globally through the powr of thar intartr0nz YARR.

These cool, strechy WristlingsTM by Liz Revision aren’t just adorable wrist-adornment, they are also helping out a good cause. A portion of the proceeds are donated to Expanding Your Horizons, a nonprofit that holds conferences to nurture girls’ interest in science and math courses to encourage them to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and math. $6.
